Damon's Lake Chelan Senior Session at Summerhill Farm

Good senior photos do not require a big production. Damon's session proves it: two simple outfits, one location he already knew by heart, and about thirty minutes start to finish. This was a petite session, my shortest and simplest option, and it is a great example of how much you can get from keeping things easy.

Familiar Ground at Summerhill Farm

We started right where Damon already spends his time: the entrance of his family's Summerhill Farm, about five minutes above Chelan. No scouting a new location, no logistics to sort out ahead of time, just a spot he already knew well. A few minutes at the old stone wall there gave us a set of classic senior portraits to open with.

One Outfit, One Prop

The wardrobe stayed just as simple as the location: a plain white t shirt, jeans, and a cowboy hat that started out as more of a prop than an outfit piece. No changes, no extra bags to dig through. An old vintage truck already parked on the property gave this next stretch a completely different look, no second location required.

Suited Up: A Few Football Portraits

Damon plays for Manson, so we set aside just a few extra minutes to get him in his football uniform too, helmet and all. Same quick pace, same easy setup, a completely different set of photos. These ended up being some of the strongest frames of the whole session, especially up close.

The Horseback Moment We Couldn't Skip

And then there were the horses. Because honestly, who doesn't love a good horse shot? The horses were already on the property, so this took zero extra planning, just a short walk out to one of the farm's open fields, golden and wide, in that same simple white tee and cowboy hat. This ended up being the heart of the whole session.
